Better Days are Comming

AUGUST 24, 2019

I never thought that this is our last picture together PAPA, until now it is hard to accept that I will never hear your voice, feel your hug. I miss you so much papa, I miss your call, I miss the days when you ask, how is my day? I miss your love papa.

January 4, 2020, was my devastating day, morning in that day I received a call from Xyvie (my cousin) the one who took care of you that day with lola/mama Nimfa, that you are in 50/50 condition, I was so nervous hearing that news, but I was calming myself, praying that your fine. Hurrying up, I go to Payan, where our relatives lives (my father’s side) because I was in my mother side, staying that day. I will not tell you more about my family background but one thing to tell all of you, my family is not perfect. To tell the news to our family, about your condition, while telling them I could no longer hold my tears, I cried telling them. I cried hard more, when I received a text from someone in the hospital that the only thing support your life is a tube (I don’t know what exactly the name of it).

When we arrive to the hospital (in your room) my tears suddenly fall down, seeing your condition. I know to myself… but I am still hoping, praying that you’re going to be fine. Laying in another bed, watching you, doing my best to hold my tears, because I don’t wanna be weak in front of our family and to you, but I know I was lying to myself that I am strong, because deep inside I am hurt, sad and broken seeing my father, fighting his life for us his family, his children. That day, I been silently crying, remembering the good days with you papa. We didn’t spent too much time, when you are alive papa, you are far away to us, you are busy working to give better future for us (your family). And now that you are with us, you are in that bad condition that it is hard to accept. Why on earth, of all people? Why you papa? You are to young to die, you are good fathers to us, good son to my grandparents. Why not others? Why not those other people wasting their life? Why not those bad people? Who do illegal things? Why you, of all people? I couldn’t find reason, Why God choose you, to take away from us, from me. Am I that too bad children of you, am I that bad daughter to my parents, am I that bad granddaughter to my grandparents, a lot of question in my mind, WHY? Why God take away my father too early. I had a lot of plans to my parents that maybe someday I will treat them to the restaurant, buy them clothes, and take good cares of them when they gets old, when their skin gets wrinkled by time goes.

While typing this blog, I cannot stop my tears to fall down. It is sad to remember the day you’re fighting your life papa. Holding your warm hands, while your eyes are closed, wishing that you will open your eyes to see me that I am at your side, hoping, asking God to give you more days. I also one of those who pump the tube thingy to give you supporting air because you are hard to breathe on your own. Fear to do it but bravely enough, I took the chance to pump it, while my tears are nonstop to fall down, because I know it will be my last chance to get near to you and doing the best for you papa. Sadly I am slowly accepting the reality that you cannot hold it more, that you are hurting by you condition. You cannot move your body or open your eyes but I know you feel us, you feel our agony for you, and I know you are still holding on for us. Once last holding your warm hands turn into cold and once last feeling your heartbeats in your chest by my bear hands. I am slowly letting you go, I know you are hurting by your condition and I don’t want you to suffer more, so badly I am letting you go peace. I hope your fine in heaven papa… may you find peace there. I LOVE YOU and I MISS YOU SO MUCH papa.

Young Adults (YA) and Christ Youth in Action (CYA) High Kick Off Gathering

We meet people not by accident but we meet people because it’s God plan. I am bless to meet this guys, special ate Maddie the one who organize the said event, she always invite me in every activities of this group. Ate Maddie and I first meet, year back 2018, it was a jamming from Ignite family, we play games and do chika-chika and talking about the learnings we gain from the activities and it connected to life. I enjoy and meet a lot of friends from this family. Before I meet ate Maddie, I meet first, ate Suzanne, ate April Anne and Gabriel at Divine Family of God Community (DFOG) this guys approach me with a smile on their face, they are so friendly to me, by the way I was with my uncle Nonon and aunt Juvy at that time, they bring me with them to socialize and I was hesitating at first but at last I decided to go with them, and it worth it. In that community, they worship together to our God, by singing holy song and praying Him and sharing experiences in life. They talk about, how good God to us, how God help us in His miracle way, how God didn’t leave us from our worst situation. They have unique style, how to worship God, and I am bless to witness and to be with them in worshiping God. And during lunch time they share and eat together their foods. The said community are divided in groups, the YA, Young Adults, (the junior high student), the Ignite, (the senior high student), the CYA, Christ Youth in Action (the college student), and Couples gruop, (married people) etc.

We meet people by reasons💗

Rappelling 101

New experience new learning, as we do rappelling last Wednesday, February 12, 2020, together with our P.E. teacher Sir Fajardo. Many of us his student are excited and some of us are nervous to do the activity. Knowing that it is dangerous to do the said activity but we must do it to get good grades. While doing the rappelling, I felt scared at first but later on I did enjoy the activity. It is good to fall down, knowing that I am safe and I overcome my fear.

Little did I realize in that activity that in order of us to surpass the challenges we meet in our everyday life, we must overcome our fear and strongly face that fear. Yes, it is risky and we are not sure the outcome, but once we take courage and slowly do the step by step, slowly we are moving forward and slowly changing our thought from negative, that doesn’t help us, to positive view of life and it help us becoming into better version of our life.

But remember in making move, we need to analyze and think wise, and follow the instructions. Like I did and my classmate did, we follow the instructions of Sir Fajardo. First know the safety rules and know how to do the proper rappelling. Sir Fajardo teach that to us, and we carefully listen to him and remember every instructions he give to us. Just like life, we need to follow the rules of life and never do decisions we didn’t think millions of times. Knowing that life is risky, we need to be wise and brave to face the challenges we encounter in our daily life.

Take a Break

Kauswagan ( Longest Boardwalk )

Sometimes in our busy life we forget to take a break for a while, seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years will past, but we selfishly limit the moment to give time to our self. We forget to unwind and feel the moment of being stress free. Life is short we must enjoy every moment of it. They say “Live to the fullest”. “You’re only here for a short visit. Don’t hurry, don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.

February 8, 2020, early in the morning we go to Kauswagan ( Longest Boardwalk) from Bel Air, Buruun, Iligan City it takes a couple of minutes to be there. The plan is to get exercise (jogging) there, but we end up taking pictures there, because of the beautiful ambiance there. We enjoy the moment and made fun together, forgetting a while the different task we have. Just pure relaxation and another experience to cherish.

This new experience of mine, has realize me something that in our way to success, we often fall and break apart and sometimes we take long post to get up and by that we miss opportunities. But everything happens for a reason, maybe its not our time to shine. A lot of things happens on our way to our destination, we encounter temptations, obstacles, a lot challenge that we must endure and surpassed. And when the moment comes we feel we didn’t make it, we just need a break and remember how far we are now to reach this place we have. Because as what the quotes above saying, “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations”.

Kung Hei Fat Choi

January 24, 2020 (midnight) was fun, we celebrate Chinese new year with family. We spent the night with laughter, talking, and funny games. I did enjoy it, because I was about to sleep that night, sleepy to wait the 12:00 to welcome Chinese new year, yet my aunt Juvy make me get up to join the “bonot-bonot money in the basket” lucky I get the 1000 pesos money. Honestly I’m aiming to get the dollar 20 Euro or any amount of dollar they put in the basket because I love collecting dollar. And not to forget to take a picture for memories, some of us are sleepy face as what you can see in the picture below.

They are not my blood family except for uncle Nonon but they treat me as their family and I realize we cannot only define family as blood related but we can also define it through actions towards another, how we care and love them without conditions, how we treat them as family. I am bless that I meet them in my life. Like aunt Juvy she treat me as her own, the wife of uncle Nonon and I am super bless to have them.

Spent the days with your family as long because tomorrow is not a promise. We cannot figure things out but we can surely create memories to cherish someday. Stay connected with your family even if you are far away to each other, just simple greetings and message to your love ones from you, make their day great. Because words are powerful just like actions, never hesitate to show your love to your parents, siblings, you might regret the day you never told them I LOVE YOU. Time is precious, value each seconds, minutes, and hours of it. Start now…

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
